The City of Aventura issued a press release regarding the activities in the City of Excellence. I’ve been a resident of this City for the past 10 years and unless I was out of town I have not missed this spectacular show. I’ve seen the fireworks from the roof top of the Delvista Towers, the South Tower at the Point, from Mystic Point (thank you Patricia!) and from Porto Vita. This year, I have not yet planned where I will witness them from but I will not miss this fabulous display!!!

The City of Aventura proudly announces its 16th annual Independence Day fireworks celebration.

When: promptly at 9pm on Monday, July 4th, 2011

Where: around any location along Country Club Drives.

Rain Date for the fireworks will be Tuesday July 5th, 2011 at 9 PM.

You know that I support sustained energy, green-friendly living and eco-friendly projects. So, I try to stay informed and share eco friendly activities and information.

Well, this time I was happy to learn that the City of Aventura is inviting all of us to the annual Go Green Expo Symosium which will be held at the Government Center next month.

The Go GREEN Expo and Symposium which will be held at the Government Center on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 6:45 PM.

Attendees will learn how the City of Aventura is going green in its operations, while discovering ways to establish or enhance their own GO GREEN initiatives.

In addition to the Symposium, the city will be adding an Expo that will feature former City of Aventura GO GREEN initiative winners, as well as exhibits by utility providers.

The Symposium and Expo will feature relevant speakers and presenters from the City of Aventura andother agencies. Attendees will also receive energy saving tips from FPL and recycling benefits from Waste Management.

 The GO GREEN Expo and Symposium will be held at the Aventura Government Center, 19200 West Country Club Drive.

Applications for the 2011 GO GREEN Recognition Program for residential and commercial properties will be available. The GO GREEN Recognition Program is part of the City’s annual Arbor Day Celebration which will be held on May 17, 2011 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center when the GO GREEN awards are presented. 15th Annual Founders Day
The 15th Annual Founders Day will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from Noon – 5:00 PM at
Founders Park Bayside. Enjoy a variety of activities including arts and crafts for all ages, airbrush tattoos,
face painting, rock climbing walls, Toddler Town play area, puppet shows, mobile arcade, Aventura History
and Highlights slideshow, and an 8’ LCD TV to watch the Miami Dolphins game.
Come watch the 8th Annual Aventura Star Talent Competition finals and see who will be the next Aventura
Star! Join us for the What’s the Deal game show and music by Jimmy Stowe and the Castaways, a Jimmy
Buffet tribute band. Sample great food and celebrate Founders Day with the entire family.
Founders Park Bayside is located at 3105 NE 190th Street across the street from Founders Park. Parking
and Shuttles will be available at the Harbour Centre beginning at 11:30 AM. The Aventura Express will

4th of July Fireworks – The City of Aventura Celebrates

You do not need to leave around Country Club Dr. to enjoy 2010′s Fourth of July Fireworks. As every year, everybody is encouraged to go to the “circle” around the Fairmont Hotel and Golf Resort and enjoy the colorful and chilling Fireworks.

 

 This has become a “classic” for Aventura Residents. Don’t miss it!

When I first moved to the City of Aventura and rented a condo close to the Golf Course, I wanted to learn about  activities offered by my Community. I remember going to the Founder’s Park and getting my ID, the government center was still under construction then.

Well over 10 years have passed since and the Community Recreation Center has grown so much!

Now, with over 10 years of experience helping friends, buyers and sellers relocate I find it very helpful to provide them with this information.
