Things You Need to Know about the City of Aventura

The City of Excellence that’s how we all know the City of Aventura.

 

 

 This flourishing neighborhood inhabited by young families, professionals  and retirees attracts the attention both of locals and visitors. It is centrally located between the 2 major airports and close to highways.

The Aventura Mall and other renown shopping attractions make this city a magnet when it comes to shopping. People come all over to visit Aventura Mall, Loehmann’s Fashion Island, The Shoppes at Waterways and other shopping centers.

Aventura’s landscaping is breathtaking and was named “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Foundation. It also has its own Aventura Police Department and has one of the lowest crime rates in Miami-Dade County.

 

Aventura’s Public Charter school (K through 8^th grade), was opened in 2003 and already has an “A” rating. The Waterways has opened another Charter school for K through 9^th grade.

 

Two world known 18-hole championship Golf Course invites professional golfers and aficionados from all over the World. With great specials during the summer season locals and visitors can play two magnificent golf courses at the Fairmont Hotel and Golf Resort.

 

Activities from its Community Services Department range from special events, athletic leagues and cultural arts programs. It also has a Community Recreation Center on the Intracoastal that houses a gym, a fitness center, classrooms and computer center.

 

There are several parks within Aventura including a water park, ball fields, playgrounds, and tennis and basketball courts. You can’t drive through Aventura without seeing people jogging or speed walking on its scenic 3 mile exercise trail which winds around the city.

Aventura’s real estate is mostly condominiums – with beautiful luxury high-rises facing over the Intracoastal and around the golf course. Aventura also offers gated communities of single family homes and town homes overlooking the golf course.
